Comfortable athletic clothing is perfect. No shoes on the mat. Just bring a willingness to experience something new. If you decide to enroll, you’ll get a free uniform.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in and get a brief tour of our building.
Absolutely not. All of our trial classes, whether for kids or adults, are beginner friendly. You’ll get a great workout, but everything is paced for beginners.
Yes, we encourage parents to watch the entire class. We’ll be available to answer your questions afterwards. If you prefer, you can relax in our lobby while your child is practicing.
If your child can follow simple directions, they are ready to begin. Ages 3 and 4 can begin in Tyke Won Do and progress to regular classes when they are ready. Some 4 years olds can jump right in. We will assess them at their first class.
Yes. Our experienced instructors gently guide nervous beginners to participate and have fun.
No worries. You don’t need to be flexible or fit. Both improve over time. You begin training where you are, not where you wish you were.
Yes, martial arts is well known for helping students to become more disciplined, focused, respectful, and confident. These qualities aren’t accidental — they’re built into every part of training.

Classes are typically 60 to 75 minutes long.
No, you’ll never be pressured to enroll. We’ll give you time to ask questions. You can choose to join if you wish or take your time to decide.
No. We do not use sparring gear or weapons in our training, even at advanced ranks.
Absolutely. This is probably the number one reason people hesitate to start, but you do not need to be in shape to start martial arts—you use martial arts to get in shape. We will encourage you to pace yourself, take breaks, and modify movements to match your current fitness level.

Official uniform included — Students receive their first martial arts uniform at enrollment, properly sized and ready for class. No extra charge.
